R0nn!3:The story of my name?

Well, I'm not really sure how I got my name. My mom was in San Francisco, California and staying with my dad's side of the family. She didn't know she was pregnant with me until my dad came home drunk one day and flew her down the stairs and grabbed her by her hair.

He also grabbed her by the throat and choked her. So he mainly beat her badly until he had nothing left in him. Nobody was home then until my dad's older cousin stopped him from beating her up more. Afterwards he took my mom to the hospital.

A few hours later, the doctors told her she was lucky she came in just in time because my mom would've had a miscarriage with me. When she found out, she was really upset because she didn't know and thanked God that she went to the hospital. She stayed in the hospital for about two months. When she got better, she had it all figured out. She was going to name me Corazon after my cousin. When it was time for me to "POP OUT!" the name became Veronica. It was said to be after her nurse because she really took good care of my mom and helped her in every way possible while staying in the hospital.

That's how I got my name, but now my mom says she doesn't know why she named me Veronica because I don't take care of her like her nurse and act like she did. I might as well be named after my Auntie Veronica who lives in Samoa because I talk a lot and never shut up. My mom came up with my nickname Ronnie because I act more like a boy than a girl and might as well be my brother. So that's it, and I'm her one and only daughter. I just want my mom to know even though it may seem that I don't appreciate the things she does for me, I really do with all my heart.

So here is what I want to say to my mom:

I know I give you a rough time, and you just might give up on me already. It's because of you that I have such a bright mind and a wise mouth.

Even when we're going through some bad times, I understand your pain mom.

You feel like you just want to break down and cry. Some of these things I wrote you might have never said to me, but I know because of the look in your eyes. So with this, I promise to be more of the daughter you need, and I want you to know that I really care for you mom through thick and thin. I'll always be here for you no matter what. With every little thing you do, it inspires me Mom, and I don't care if everybody knows, but I want you -- my one and only mother-- to know "I LOVE YOU MOMMY." You will forever be my one true hero, and I hope one day I could be just like you with my kids, looking up to me like the way I look up to you.

Last but not least, I thank God that he chose you to be my mom because he took his time to create a wonderful and unforgettable mom like you for me.
