You will see a variety of creative pieces below.
Each day in class and out in the field, we wrote in our journals. Sometimes we used writing prompts in the morning to get our brains and our pencils moving. Other times we used a line from a poem to start the magic -- like the line "What will you do with your one wild and precious life?" from Mary Oliver's "A Summer Day."
Each member of Write Alaska 2010! had a wealth of material to choose from in posting an additional piece. Below you will read a piece that each member chose as his or her personal favorites.
