Reaching My Goals
Hiking up a mountain makes me feel like I'm slowly reaching my goals for the future. At the same time, I feel like I'm walking up the right trail for me to graduate high school. As I'm walking up the mountain, I imagine seeing the trees as my family and friends watching me along the way up and cheering me on. Hearing the wind is like listening to my parents encouraging me to make it to the top and telling me not to give up. Feeling the breeze is like knowing my ancestors are watching over me and showing me that they're with me. Smelling the nice fresh air is like getting advice from my teachers and the people who love and care for me. Tasting nothing but the saliva in my mouth is like me knowing that I'm a person who deserves to live her dream.
Meet the Author:
Hey there, my name is Tasha. I'm from Emmonak but living in A-Town. I am a student at Service High School. I'm a sister of six, a cousin of way too many, and a friend of everyone. I am a young girl and a grown woman who'll always find her way. At times, I am fun to be with. I am quiet unless I'm excited or tensed. I like playing basketball, volleyball, playing tag, playing cards, meeting new and interesting people, being with friends and family, taking pictures, taking walks, riding around town, watching movies, beading, Eskimo dancing, learning how to do new things, and a lot more others.
It was good, you should open your eyes to see how talented you are when it comes to telling others how the way you feel in writing.
ReplyDeleteThis piece is amazing. When you read it out loud at the closing ceremony, I could hear exactly how you intended for it to be read.
ReplyDeleteChelsea is right about your talent! :)
