Sonnet Farrell

Hello. I am looking forward to a second year with Write Alaska! working with this program last year was one of the best experiences that I have ever had in my 10+ years as a teacher with the Anchorage School District. My background with ASD has been as an English teacher at Eagle River High School and Chugiak High School. My current job is as a teacher training specialist with Training & Professional Development.

I love to hike, fish, and explore Alaska; I also really enjoy writing, reading, and geeking out with technology. So -- this is pretty much the best summer gig in the world for me. I also have an energetic Springer Spaniel named Tangle who will likely accompany our class on some adventures.

The best book that I have read lately is The Story of Edgar Sawtelle. I also love poetry and good music, and I make a point of seeing as much live music as possible each year.
