Day 2: Arctic Valley Hike

We started off the day with poetry, a quick write, a reading, and we ended by choosing books to read. We were running a little later than 11, so we hurried onto the bus, and our adventure started. Since our technology was rudely taken away from us, people entertained themselves by talking, singing, reading, and doing stuff related to things like that. I think we got there around noon. Who the heck knows?
We ate a very delightful lunch which consisted of a variety of sandwiches, chips, and juices. We started the very treacherous hike around half past noon. The hike was quite uneventful for moi, because I did not spot any bears or wild animals. Finally, after about a billion hours, I made it to the top with a few fellow hikers. We were sweating rivers, and thought it would be a good idea to take off all of our extra gear and let the wind cool us. The wind cooled us, alright. We were almost frozen when we decided to put our gear back on. People started trickling to the top of the mountain, and when everyone made it up, we gathered together and just sat and rested for a while. We did a quick write that required us to use all five of our senses. Then we headed back down the mountain. Finally, we boarded the bus again, and made it back in town around 4:30.

Hey everybody, this is Ronnie reporting from the end of the pack. That was an extremely long and tiring hike. I mean, I started at the beginning and ended up at the end. It would have probably worked better if I had fewer items in my backpack. On the way up, some of my fellow classmates took a long rest (Saili, Kaykay, Fulu, Faith, Queen, Tina). We just needed to be more helpful to others and cheer them on. Everybody has his or her own pace. Also, I noticed that many of my classmates were really tired, including myself. It was a pretty cool experience going hiking; it was tough at first, but I caught up at the end. I think everybody can agree with me on this. So far so good!
Mainly all you should do is never give up at anything you do in life. So the next time you go hiking, you’ll know what to do and be prepared. With plenty support, you can go far. Until next time this is Ronnie signing off.
